Peter Elyjiw
Adapt IP Law® was founded by Peter Elyjiw, an intellectual property lawyer with more than 25 years of experience at leading law firms. Peter has been recognized as in IAM Patent 1000’s World's Leading Patent Professionals rankings from 2019 through 2026.
Peter holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and worked as an engineer for five years before earning his law degree at the University of Toronto. He genuinely enjoys learning about new technologies and helping innovative people and companies protect their intellectual property.
Peter developed extensive expertise in intellectual property law through his years at highly ranked firms. Over time, however, he came to question whether certain aspects of the traditional law firm model truly served the best interests of either clients or lawyers.
